My nieces Probe 2.0 was doing this and after a few smoked belts I replaced all the pullies, problem fixed....

Replace Front rotor on '87 Mazda 626
Some models of Mazda (Not sure what years) there is 2 threaded holes on the front of the rotor around the lug bolt...
