2005 Nissan Titan Review

Last but not least.
Waiting for the competition to make the first move has clear opportunity costs. You miss out on the early conquests, come off as a follower when you finally arrive, and end up with the sloppy seconds. On the other hand, you get the safety of seeing how the market plays out, let the others guys make the mistakes, and revise your agenda to avoid them.

Doing it right apparently beats getting there first for Nissan, who just became the world's latest full-range automaker with this Titan, its first-ever full-size truck. Nissan no doubt watched the indifferent reception given to the first import truck, Toyota's T100, and the still-not-ecstatic reception of the second, the Tundra, despite Toyota's star quality and refinement. Well, Nissan durability is pretty up there too, so in theory, all they'd have to do is keep the quality and refinement, fill in the holes Toyota left blank, and they'd have the full-size truck segment nailed, right?
