Built on the base of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Jeep Commander is a mid-size SUV with seating for seven, plenty of cargo space, and great standard safety features. Two trim levels are available. The base level comes with a V6 engine standard while a V8 is standard in the Limited. A responsive five-speed automatic transmission is standard, and this SUV has a 7,200 lb tow capacity.
