The 1999 Acura CL was the first Acura designed, engineered, and manufactured almost entirely in the U.S. This is party the reason why there's an overwhelming ""American"" feel. It has high-end accessories and sporty road manners, taking the CL to a personal luxury level that is unheard of in its price range. It is also the only Acura other than the NSX to be offered solely as a two-door model.

The 1999 Acura CL is a two-door sedan with measurements of 70.1 inches wide, 54.7 inches long, 190 inches long, and has a 106.9-inch wheel base. Its ground clearance is 4.3 inches, and its curb weight is 3064 pounds. It has 16-inch alloy wheels and comes in six different colors: flamenco black pearl, cardiff blue-green pearl, iced teal pearl, milano red, taffeta white, and titanium metallic.


The interior of the 1999 Acura CL features bucket seats and leather seating in two different colors: charcoal and parchment. There is a center console as well as an overhead console with programmable garage door opener. It also features tinted glass, a power driver’s seat, steering wheel audio controls, remote trunk release, tilt steering wheel with leather trim, air-conditioning with automatic climate control, power windows, door locks, and exterior mirrors, intermittent windshield wipers, a power moon roof, and an AM/FM/CD audio system.
