2011 Acura MDX Review

Super SUV, Even if a Bit Ostentatious

Reviewed by Automotive on

In a Nutshell
The 2011 Acura MDX is one of the smaller, more fuel efficient sport utility vehicles (SUVs) on the market. With handling and performance more like a car than an SUV, Acura MDX is easy to drive. Since it had a major redesign in 2010, the MDX received no major changes 2011. With its V-6 engine coupled with a six-speed automatic, the MDX is surprisingly fast and fun to drive, but not as capable at towing and off-road driving as other SUVs.

However, the Acura MDX does offer a wide array of trims, options, and packages. Whether you want the latest technology or the greatest entertainment equipment, you are sure to find it in the MDX. You'll also like the top-of-the-line safety equipment and EPA fuel efficiency rated at 16 mpg city/21 mpg highway. Families love the 2011 Acura MDX, with its three rows of seats, capable of seating up to seven passengers, and plenty of room for cargo as well.

Comments:

The new 2011 Acura MDX is a shining star when it comes to desirability, performance, and safety. It is user-friendly, has a large third row seat, and had very respectable fuel mileage for an SUV. This truly is a luxury SUV perfect for people who need more space but do not want to compromise the style and comfort. Earlier models of the Acura MDX were nice, but they pale in comparison to the 2011 model. It has many features and is a consistent strong value for the money paid because it is reliable and well-crafted. This is a fun-to drive vehicle, and fits perfectly into anyone's family. It can serve as an "adventure mobile" or a "mom's taxicab" and everything in between. It has all-wheel handling which not only increases the safety and ease of handling of the vehicle, but it also makes the SUV feel smaller than it truly is. It does not feel like you are driving a seven passenger vehicle, instead it is similar to a sports car. The new improvements to the 2011 Acura MDX model has made it the vehicle to beat in the midsize SUV crossover class and I predict it to be a strong standard in the years to come.
