The 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a two-seat luxury sports car, available either as a coupe or a soft-top roadster convertible. Engine air flow goes through carefully sculpted inlet systems.

The V8 Vantage, hand-built and expertly engineered to give drivers a thrilling ride, includes all of the latest innovations to result in a perfectly tuned, brilliantly appointed sports car that turns heads. Worthy of a spot at Le Mans, it also offers supreme comfort and the latest in safety.

The Range

Body Styles: coupe, roadster
Engines: 4.7-liter V-8
Transmissions: six-speed manual, six-speed shiftable automatic
Models: Aston Martin V8 Vantage

What's New

The 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage now sports a 4.7-liter, 420-hp engine. The automatic transmission and suspension have been tweaked to improve performance. Following the design of the DBS, center stack interior controls become more user-friendly. The attention-getting “Emotion Control Unit"" key fob debuts as well.

The V8 Vantage’s frame has been enhanced to better handle vibrations. Aston Martin incorporates aluminum and magnesium components to decrease the overall weight of the vehicle.

New headlights appear on the 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage; flared front fenders and side vents cause the eye to go toward the rear of the vehicle. The rear features twin bar taillights, twin exhaust pipes, and an integrated spoiler.

The roadster’s power fabric roof can be raised or lowered in 18 seconds–at speeds of up to 30 mph. When lowered, the roof stows beneath an aluminum tonneau, allowing the car to maintain its clean lines.

Aston Martin enjoys a reputation for opulent, refined interiors, and the V8 Vantage makes no exception. Hand-built and showing all of the craftsmanship Aston Martin has to offer, the cabin of the V8 Vantage is a thing of beauty. The center stack holds all of the controls. The “Emotion Control Unit"" (ECU) is inserted into the docking station, and the Start button brings the engine to life. At that point, the crystal in the ECU glows red. The full-grain leather upholstery feels luxurious with hand-stitched seams; wood and alloy trim provides understated elegance. The seats are well bolstered and hug their occupants, making long drives comfortable. A wide array of interior choices help personalize your 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

The hatchback in the Vantage Coupe includes 10.6 cubic feet of luggage space, while the Roadster offers five cubic feet for luggage. A large-capacity fuel tank in the roadster allows the driver to tour the countryside without making frequent stops for fuel.

Performance & Handling

The 2009 V8 Vantage’s 4.7-liter engine generates 346 lb-ft of torque and allows the vehicle to go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 180 mph. Handling feels crisp and responsive, no matter what the speed. Aston Martin’s engineering team has created a fine performance vehicle that handles most driving situations.

Buyers can select the six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed shiftable automatic transmission. A Sports Pack package offers five-spoke wheels and a sport-tuned suspension.

Standard safety equipment for the 2009 Aston Martin V8 Vantage includes side airbags, four-wheel ABS with emergency braking assist, and electronic brakeforce distribution, as well as traction control and stability control.
