Audi's bread and butter performance sedan, the A4, has been redesigned for 2009. Available as a sedan and as the Avant wagon, the A4 is now marginally larger with more aggressive styling than the previous model.
Available engines are a 211 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 and a 265 horsepower 3.2-liter V6. Power is sent to the front wheels or available Quattro all wheel drive through either a continuously variable transmission, 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
Fuel economy for the A4 ranges from 17 miles per gallon city, up to 26 miles per gallon highway.
A hallmark of Audi styling has always been well-crafted interiors, and the new A4 is no different. The A4's futuristic, yet simple, interior is available with a navigation system and backup camera in two of its three trims.
Base MSRP for the 2009 Audi A4 is $30,700. A fully loaded A4 will top out around $54,000. The A4 is backed by a 4-year, 50,000-mile powertrain warranty.
With updated styling and a winning formula that combines performance and practicality, Audi is bringing it's A-Game with the 2009 A4.
