What's New
The 2009 Audi A4 sedan has been redesigned inside and out. It now looks longer and wider than before, resulting in additional head and legroom and more expansive trunk space.
Exterior
The door rub strips have been eliminated, giving the body of the 2009 Audi A4 a smoother look. A spoiler graces the trunk, and the A4 now has the Audi-standard grille. LED running lights have been added. The power top on the Cabriolet goes up or down in about 12 seconds.
Interior
The interior of all A4s, except the convertible, have been updated; ambient lighting beneath the driver’s seat has been added. The location of the MMI controls depend upon whether the A4 comes equipped with a navigation system. Standard equipment on the sedan and Avant wagon includes direct injection, Audi MMI (Multi Media Interface), adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot warning system, a power sunroof, mechanical center differential, and center limited-slip differential. Numerous option packages help customize your A4. The 18-inch Sport Package includes Alcantara seat inserts, sport suspension, LED lights, xenon HID headlights, and other options. A 19-inch Sport Package remains available for the 3.2 Quattro sedan.
The sedan offers 16.9 cubic feet of cargo space; the wagon offers 13.4 cubic feet with the seats in place.
Performance & Handling
The 2009 Audi 2.0T Quattro comes as a sedan, wagon, or convertible. It comes equipped with a two-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine and an all-wheel-drive, six-speed manual transmission; the six-speed shiftable automatic transmission is optional. The Cabriolet’s two-liter engine generates 200 hp. The base Audi A4 2.0T Premium sedan comes equipped with a two-liter, 211-hp, turbocharged four-cylinder and FrontTrak, a front-drive CVT. In track tests, the A4 2.0T Quattro sedan clocks in at 6.5 seconds for zero to 60 mph.
