2011 Audi A6 Review

Don't count this champ out yet

Reviewed by Automotive on

In a Nutshell
The 2011 Audi A6 is offered as a sedan or wagon, with a choice of 3.2L V-6, 3.0L supercharged V-6, 4.2L V-8, and 5.2L V-10 engines paired to a six-speed automatic transmission or a continuously variable transmission. Forward-drive and Audi's quattro all-wheel drive are also offered. Although it has great handling, Audi A6's ride is not as comfortable as you might wish.

The Audi A6 has a luxurious attractive interior and exterior, complemented by Audi's great safety features. Fuel economy is 18 mpg city / 28 mpg highway, which is within the standard range. The standard base A6 achieves superior traction on the road, but the suspension rides hard, making the vehicle is noisy.

Comments:

The 2011 Audi A6 is the total package. I admit there are other cars out there that may be more fun to drive, but the Audi A6 is overall the best car I have ever owned. The exterior is a little bit on the plain side, but the perfection of the interior makes up for it. A roomy and quiet cabin provides the utmost degree of comfort. The fit and finish is classic and all the seating is beyond comfortable. The large trunk is very convenient for storage and road trips. Although there are less wood accents than previous models, it complements the arrangements of controls. The engine and transmission provide speed, agility, and the ability to get me to my destination smoothly. In my opinion, the best part of the Audi is the navigation system. The electronics are a huge plus in every way, except the amount of room they consume. Other than filling the glove box, they are simple, intelligent, easy to use and extremely helpful. The car handles very well and has stellar acceleration with the turbo charged engine. The car as a whole is an appealing alternative compared to more expensive cars offered by BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Not only is the Audi appealing to the eye, inside and out, it is safe and reliable, earning top scored of "Good" in front, side and overall rear impact test. Another great safety addition is the Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and the Electronic Stabilization Program. Adding to reliability is a four-year or 50,000 miles basic warranty, including roadside assistance.
