The L quattro has a longer wheelbase, which results in more rear legroom for passengers. The L model is five inches longer than the quattro. It shares the standard equipment of the quattro model.
The A8 L W12 is equipped with a 6.0-liter, 450-hp W-12 engine and an AWD six-speed shiftable automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes nineteen-inch alloy wheels, 10-way power driver and passenger seat with power lumbar support and height adjustment, massager in seats, Alcantara headliner, wood steering wheel, keyless entry and engine start-up, navigation system, reclining rear seats, four-zone climate controls, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, parking assist system, and electric sunshades for side and rear windows.

Performance & Handling
The engines available in the A8 line are designed to deliver power. The quattro engine can go from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds; the L W12 engine improves on that record by half a second.
The W12 is like having two V-6 engines hooked together. It offers exceptional performance, but is more compact than a V-12. The six-speed Tiptronic transmission delivers AWD traction in all four wheels.
