The 2008 TT is Audi's 2-door sport compact that's available as a hardtop coupe or a top-down roadster. The TT has become an icon for Audi for over a decade now, dating back to the original 1995 concept. For 2008 it has been totally redesigned.
Updates for the TT are more than just aesthetic. The nimble corner-hugger receives a new aluminum space frame making the new TT nearly 200 pounds lighter, while increasing cabin roominess.
The base engine is a 200 horsepower turbocharged 2-liter inline-4. A 250 horsepower 3.2 liter V6 is available. Transmission choices are a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual, sending power to the front wheels with the inline-4 and Quattro all wheel drive with the V6.
Fuel consumption ranges from 18 miles per gallon city to 31 miles per gallon highway.
Base MSRP for the 2008 Audi TT is $34,800, while a fully loaded TT can cost over $50,000. The TT comes with a 4-year, 50,000-mile power train warranty.
The TT moves forward in its latest design transformation. It's lighter, quicker and roomier while still retaining the unmistakable TT styling.
