GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Navision Automotive Alliance (NAA) has announced its creation. Composed of eight Microsoft Dynamics Navision(TM) partners, the NAA focuses on the automotive manufacturing industry, and specifically, automotive parts.
The NAA will deliver the integrated solution of AIM Computer Solutions, Inc.'s Vision AutoSys and Microsoft Dynamics(TM) NAV. This solution addresses the needs of suppliers who must use electronic data interchange (EDI) to manage released demands against purchase orders from multiple trading partners and are required to print Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) based barcode labels with each shipment. The fully automated solution provides the base EDI software and related barcode capabilities for more than 150 trading partners including DaimlerChrysler, Ford, General Motors and Honda.
AIM Computer Solutions is an industry leader in repetitive manufacturing solutions targeted specifically for the small to medium sized automotive supplier. As a Microsoft Certified Independent Software Vendor (ISV), AIM Computer Solutions has more than 50 implementations of the integrated solution.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a fully customizable business management solution designed for companies seeking an integrated solution to help increase productivity without disrupting everyday operations. With its open development environment and feature-rich application areas, Microsoft Dynamics NAV makes it easy for businesses in many industries to increase sound decision-making, respond more rapidly to new competitive challenges and seize new market opportunities.
The eight Microsoft Dynamics Navision partners in the NAA include AIM Computer Solutions, Eximas Corporation, i3 Business Solutions, LLC, Integrated Software Systems, Inc. (ISSI), Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas (PKF), ProfitPoint, Real Solutions, and Team Technology.
"This alliance is a fantastic example of the benefits to both partners and customers of true partner collaboration," said Mogens Elsberg, GM, Microsoft Dynamics NAV. "The combined talents of eight certified Microsoft Dynamics NAV Partners are bringing a focused solution to the production part automotive supplier, based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft technology. The benefits to customers in having access to this new integrated vertical solution are huge..."
"We are excited to be a part of this vertical market," said Nancy Love, vice president of sales, Integrated Software Systems, Inc. "There is a significant need for a Microsoft-based solution in this industry, one that services the small to mid sized automotive supplier. All NAA partners have experience in this niche and wanted to work with a group that was already familiar with manufacturing. The niche is too demanding for partners who are not significantly committed."
"The NAA is especially helpful to Michigan-based automotive parts suppliers who need consistent implementations with branch or sister facilities outside of the immediate Michigan areas to remain competitive. In some cases, this extends to outside of the US, too. NAA members had a lot of verticals to choose from, and we picked this one because of our manufacturing expertise," said Pat Sepski, account executive, Team Technology.
