Belron US Announces New Field Management Assignments - Auto News from April 20, 2007

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The recent merger between the two largest vehicle glass repair and replacement companies in the United States has resulted in new staff assignments in the field leadership structure of the new company, Belron US.

"We have implemented some changes to our field operations management structure that will position us well for the integration of the new company," said Dan Wilson, president and chief executive officer of Belron US. "The new appointment of these individuals helps round out our field management team and positions us well as a company as we move into our busy season."

The field leadership will report to Garth Beck, vice president of field operations who held the same position for Safelite AutoGlass. Reporting to Beck will be 14 Division Managers, which includes the addition of three Division Managers to the Belron US field operations structure. These new Division Managers are:

Brenton Carr, former group warehouse manager for Safelite AutoGlass, has become the Midwest division manager.

Mike Jalbert, former vice president for Elite Auto Glass, has become the Arizona division manager.

Dave Leach, former vice president for Elite Auto Glass, has become the Colorado division manager.

Carr, Jalbert and Leach have responsbilities that include providing leadership, direction, and motivation for their assigned division of auto glass replacement and repair facilities. They directly manage a group of general managers and act as an intermediary between field operations and corporate management with the goal of growing and improving market share for their assigned areas.

Tommy Clark, who is new to the organization and a graduate of Safelite's Leadership Development Program, has accepted the role of Mid-South group warehouse manager.

Ward Blomquist, former Midwest division manager, has accepted the role of Great Lakes group warehouse manager.

Clark and Blomquist have responsibility for providing leadership for multiple warehouses in their assigned geographic area and they manage the logistics infrastructure in their areas for the company.

Scott Gardner, former Southwest division manager, has accepted the role of Division Integration Manager to help lead and facilitate the integration of the two companies. Gardner will work closely with key operations and sales management from both organizations and will play a critical role in ensuring the strategic objectives are met.
