OTTAWA, April 24 /PRNewswire/ - Sciemetric Instruments Inc., a leading provider of analytics software-driven manufacturing intelligence solutions, today announced that it has entered into an OEM agreement with Bosch Rexroth Corporation to power that company's line of highly competitive Tightening and Press-fit systems used in automotive assembly environments.
Bosch Rexroth will be using Sciemetric's SigPOD Press test platform to incorporate advanced manufacturing intelligence capabilities with its own PE-110 DC Press-fit systems. As with the full suite of SigPOD test platforms, SigPOD Press is driven by Sciemetric's process signature verification (PSV) technology that captures and analyzes entire waveforms of complex data, delivering an accurate view of quality so manufacturers can improve their productivity and profitability.
Sciemetric's technology will bring superior quality monitoring to PE-110 DC Press-fit systems by enabling them to detect root causes of defects and allowing immediate corrective action to be taken during the production process itself.
"Sciemetric's solution complements our quality systems very well," said Thilo Vogler, Branch Manager, Tightening & Welding Systems, Bosch Rexroth Corporation. "By applying SigPOD Press to our systems, we are ensuring that we are early adopters of advanced manufacturing intelligence. Today we are witnessing unprecedented customer demand and competition in most of our target markets and we want to achieve the highest quality standards to give us a clear competitive edge. We are excited that our new partnership with Sciemetric will help us to maintain our leadership position in quality."
The Tightening and Press-fit Systems division of Bosch Rexroth has been internationally active since 1982 and, with more than 40,000 tightening systems installed, is a global leader in this field. The Bosch Rexroth PE-110 DC Press-fit systems are flexible, programmable and virtual plug-and-play solutions offering software and modular construction for fast set-up, integration and reconfiguration. Their pre-engineered press-fit systems come with a one million cycles standard warranty at full load.
"This partnership that brings together Sciemetric's unique process signature verification technology and Bosch Rexroth's massive global reach, is poised to demonstrate manufacturing intelligence within the industry in an unparalleled manner and take quality to new heights," said Steve Panyko, CEO, Sciemetric. "We are extremely proud to have such an established innovator as our partner, recognized by premier companies worldwide for introducing superior solutions to the market."
