ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Allan Gilmour, retired vice chairman of Ford Motor Company, will present at the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan's Career Enhancement Event on Saturday, May 19, in Dearborn, Michigan.

Gilmour will share his insider's perspective on the state of the auto industry in Michigan, as well as globally, and how it affects the economy, our careers and our daily lives. The event will include ideas and open discussions on the industry today, where the signs point for the future, and what it will take to stay on the road to recovery and prosperity.

The Alumni Association's career event will be held at The Henry Ford, located at 20900 Oakwood Boulevard in Dearborn. It will begin at 9:00 a.m. with registration and a breakfast buffet, and the presentation will commence at 10:00 a.m., followed by a question-and-answer session with Gilmour. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and develop professional and personal connections.

The cost is $15 in advance for Alumni Association members ($25 at the door), or $25 in advance for alumni who are not members of the Alumni Association ($35 at the door). The general public is welcome. Alumni Association members may also register in advance to receive one complimentary day-pass for the Henry Ford Museum, a $14 value.
