Nearly Two Dozen New Courses Offered Through AIAG Keep Industries Competitive - Auto News from January 29, 2009

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) maintains its focus to keep industry personnel mainstream by offering the latest educational tools. Nearly two dozen new courses covering current regulations and certification standards are available on-site, on-line and in person through AIAG. As a special promotion to accelerate organizational recovery and educate professionals on the processes they need to learn to successfully complete added responsibilities, AIAG will provide a 25 percent discount on class, certification and product fees for members, and non-members will receive a 15 percent reduction now through April 30th.

Amongst the numerous courses offered, AIAG covers extensively the ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 standards, global benchmarks in providing requirements for quality management and enhancing customer satisfaction -- a virtual must-have for any industry. The in-depth courses provide the skills and tools necessary to become successful lead and/or internal auditors.

Further, new web-based e-learning classes are available to help suppliers comply with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of Chemicals (REACH) regulation and global materials management (MMOG/LE) guideline.

Courses are offered globally and benefit a wide-range of industry professionals from auditors to environmental management system (EMS) managers and management representatives as well as process owners. Many of the classes provide certification upon successful completion.
