RENO, Nev., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Revolution Electric Motor Company, developer of new high efficiency and power density motor/generators, announced that the Company's technology is offered for sale.
REMC's commercialized products are based upon advanced air core technology that eliminates many of the losses occurring in conventional motors and generators. The technology was proven through independent testing at Oregon State University, the University of Nevada, Reno and several commercial testing laboratories.
The new motor/generators provide record efficiencies of 98.5%, as compared to equivalent sized conventional electrical machines at 93.0% and less. For continuous duty applications, the energy savings can, in many cases, pay for motor replacement in less than two years. Typical applications include industrial motors, generator sets, electrically powered vehicles and high speed machines.
REMC's technology is manufacturable with relatively low costs, depending on sizes and speeds. The technology is protected with 14 patents and pending patents in the United States, European Union, Japan and China.
