Kurt Anderson of Bob Baker Subaru thought it would be a great idea to donate the 2009 Legacy to the school and worked with Daniel Page, southwest field service manager for Subaru, to make the donation a reality.

"The payback to all manufacturers through programs such as AYES, cannot be measured, it is the future of our industry," said Page.

Monte Vista, located in Spring Valley, has an AYES program which is taught by Monte Vista's Auto Shop Instructor, Mike Fleming. Mr. Fleming was very excited about the possibility of having the car to help advance his students' education.

"The students will be thrilled to have such new technology as well as a turbocharged vehicle for learning," said Mike Fleming, auto shop instructor for Monte Vista High School.
