Daytona Beach, FL (Sports Network) - NASCAR assessed a 25-point penalty to
both driver Kyle Busch and team owner Joe Gibbs and fined crew chief Steve
Addington $25,000 after Busch's No.18 Toyota failed post-race inspection last
Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
During inspection, NASCAR discovered the left front fender on Busch's car was
too low and therefore did not meet the required height specification.
Addington also was placed on probation for the remainder of the year.
Busch, who is not one of the 12 drivers in the "Chase for the Sprint Cup"
championship, remains 13th in points. He finished fifth in the Sylvania 300.
