What's New

Nobody can dispute that Audi and Quattro are joined at the hip, especially where the new Audi Sport Quattro Concept is concerned. It features a powerful design that draws your attention and was designed with a racing spirit. Many elements on the concept vehicle pay homage to the Quattro models from the 1980, with angular C-pillars and rectangular double headlights. Added to these elements are "blisters" that appear above the fenders, which have been accentuated by Audi designers. Inside the Audi Sport Quattro Concept is a spacious cabin filled with dark gray tones and precise lines. The materials and workmanship seen throughout the interior provides a sneak peek into future sporty production models based off this concept.

Who It's For

It seems as though all concept cars are hybrids these days, with automakers pushing to offer more luxurious and fuel-efficient models to appease rising demand. Audi is no different. The new concept vehicle is a plug-in hybrid that delivers an astounding 700 horsepower and has a fuel economy rating of 94 mpg. Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine, the Audi Sport Quattro Concept offers three different driving modes, including EV, Hybrid, and Sport to accommodate any driver. This coupe is able to go from 0 to 60 in just under four seconds, with a top speed of just under 190 mph. For those looking for a high-performance plug-in hybrid with the luxuries and amenities expected from the brand, this coupe concept is one to pay close attention to.

Key Features

On top of the hybrid powertrain and its incredible performance numbers, the Audi Sport Quattro Concept offers what people expect from Audi, combined with the little notes of nostalgia seen on previous Quattro vehicles.
  • Hybrid powertrain and performance
  • Racing-inspired interior and exterior design
  • Design elements paying homage to past Quattro models

What We Think

The Audi Sport Quattro Concept hits the mark, without question. Audi is sending a strong signal to the plug-in market with this new coupe. With all the amenities expected from the brand, the racing-inspired elements, and a powerful powertrain, there doesn't seem to be a reason for the concept to be a flop. It hits all the right marks and is staying current with the trends of the automotive industry. When this coupe enters production, there will most likely be a waiting list a mile long with people waiting to drop what will no doubt be some serious money on this.
