One of the stars at Geneva was the stunning Citron C6 luxury sedan, which is based on the Lignage concept car shown back in 1999. This long, sleek sedan recalls the CX of the 1980s, and features a concave rear windshield and speed-sensitive trunklid spoiler. Inside, the C6 has powered sliding rear seats, a heads-up display as standard, lots of Gallic style, and massive wooden faced door bins. The chassis has active electronic damping, there are directional xenon headlamps, and numerous gizmos such as a lane departure warning system are offered. Just two engines will be available, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission: a 210-hp 3.0-liter V-6 and a 206-hp 2.7-liter V-6 diesel. The French automakers haven't produced a decent upscale car for some time, so we suspect that French government employees will be glad to have something suitably grand to ride in. The only thing is, why did it take Citron so long to get the car into production?
