The Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Package will be available in the first quarter of 2007, and is an appearance package with performance parts to back it up. The kit includes a carbon fiber front fascia splitter and mirror covers, aluminum grille inserts, sequential tail lamps, front and rear brake ducts, and badging. It dresses up the GT500's interior and engine compartment with a carbon fiber gauge cluster and a few billet upgrades.
The GT500's thundering V-8 gets a Borla exhaust system, and a Shelby/Eibach suspension upgrade provides thicker sway bars and lowers the car by 0.8 inches in the front and 1.6 inches in the rear.
