Europe has a case of Cee'd fever. If you don't know, the that's the name of the small Mazda 3-like hatchback that should help make a name for the Koreans in Europe. At the 2006 Geneva show, Kia showed us the first concept, and a production five-door hatchback was shown last fall in Paris, alongside a sporty three-door, the pro_cee'd concept. Now, Kia has planted its best Cee'd yet. The ex_cee'd is a small convertible with styling similar to that of the three-door hardtop, which by the way goes on sale next year. The ex_cee'd breaks from the trend of retractable hardtops, with Kia saying that a traditional soft top is more romantic. Details including a production date and possible engines haven't been announced, but from these pictures, it looks like Kia's first convertible could be a big hit.
