The Micra is a cool small car, but it hardly oozes with driver appeal. Nissan wants to change that with the sporty SR, which uses a brand-new DOHC, 16-valve, 1.6-liter in-line four-cylinder engine that produces 109 hp and 113 lb-ft of torque. Nissan claims that the car will reach 114 mph and accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 9.8 seconds. As you would expect, the suspension has a sportier mien, while stabilitycontrol is added as standard equipment. Sport seats and aluminum pedalshelp to differentiate the car inside.
