This roomy five-door hatchback is longer than a VW Golf, and is more versatile, thanks to folding and sliding rear seats. There are four engine options: two diesels (1.5-liter units making 67- and 85 hp), and two gasoline powerplants (1.4-liter/87 hp and 1.6-liter/109 hp). Nissan is hoping that the Note's distinctive styling will help it crack this end of the market.
