Due this fall, Chevrolet's NASCAR nameplate will now seem more authentic with the introduction of an available V-8 to go with a freshened exterior and improved interior. Unlike the racers, the Monte Carlo retains front-wheel drive. And it's still ugly.

Chevy's best-selling car gets revised exterior and interior styling this fall, front and rear side curtain air bags, and powertrain improvements, which now include an available 5.3-liter V-8 making 303 hp and 323 lb-ft. That's a mess of power to run through the front wheels.
