First released just a few months ago at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the GR-1 is a bolder, more original concept than the Shelby Cobra. Now painted chrome, this Ford GT-based sport coupe could be a logical step in Ford's image-car program. Although inspired by the Cobra Daytona coupe of the 60's, this design is by no means retro. Like the Cobra concept, it uses a V-10 engine. Could Ford be serious?
