Maserati celebrates its milestone with a specialversion of its Spyder convertible, ninety of whichwill be built for the North American market, withanother ninety for the rest of the world. All wear thesame blue livery, and are trimmed out with many of thesame pieces as the GranSport version of the Coupe, including lower body extensions, 19-inch wheels, leather and cloth interior trim, and an extra-thickflat-topped steering wheel. The Spyder's hard tonneauis carbon fiber, and it flares up to meet theheadrests. The Anniversary Spyder does not share theGranSport coupe's 400-hp V-8, but even with itsstandard, 390-hp engine--mated exclusively to theCambiocorsa paddle-shift manual--it lunges to 60 mphin under 5 seconds. The Anniversary Spyder'sexclusivity doesn't come cheap, checking in a justover $98,000, or some 15 percent more than a standardMaserati Spyder.
