Suzuki Mobile Terrace concept
The Mobile Terrace people mover was one of the wackier concepts at Tokyo. Because of Suzuki's longstanding affiliation with GM, it's built on GM's Hy-Wire fuel-cell platform. The Mobile Terrace seats six, with three rows of two abreast, but once the vehicle is parked, it's easy to turn it into a party wagon. The doors slide fore and aft to create a huge opening, and both sides of the floor can be pulled outside the envelope of the vehicle, a table can be raised, the seats rotate to face each other, and it's time for dinner, or a game of canasta.
