In case you missed this summer's interesting footnote statistic that 27 percent of the delegates at the 2004 Republican National convention were millionaires, we're here to remind you that luxury car sales are booming. Hence, top-drawer carmakers are looking to fill out their portfolio, Bentley included. Based on the current Arnage sedan, this four-seat concept features a dramatically raked windscreen, a full 1-1/2 inches lower than the sedan's, and a triple-layer canvas top that folds and gets tucked snugly out of sight at the push of a button in 25 seconds. A cabin of milky-soft leather and burr oak veneer with boxwood inlay beckons while a 6.8L/450-hp twin-turbo V-8 answers the call. According to Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen, Chairman of Bentley Motors, the company's latest alfresco concept "exudes Bentleyness." If approved for production, the concept would fill a gaping hole in the luxury carmaker's lineup since the exit of the Azure convertible a few years back. It is expected to appear in premium valet parking from Pebble Beach to Wall Street in 2006.
