Making its debut in Los Angeles, the BMW M3 Competition Package pushes the exemplary coupe to offer the best handling of any car to carry the coveted M3 badge. The suspension has been tuned to deliver more impressive at-the-limits performance, aided by 19-inch wheels, high-perf tires, and quicker steering ratio, increased from 15.4:1 to 14.5:1. The Dynamic Stability Control system includes a less-intrusive M track mode, as on the M3 CSL, ensuring the security of DSC without hampering spirited driving. For inclement conditions, the regular DSC mode remains. The brakes, also adopted from the M3 CSL, include compound and cross-drilled rotors. The Competition Package is available in combination with the standard six-speed manual or the optional Sequential Manual Gearbox. Available now, the Competition Package carries a $4000 premium.
