In an attempt to promote California's future "Hydrogen Highway," GM has built a hydrogen-powered Hummer to help provide inspiration, and Ah-nold includes this vehicle in his personal stable to help guide the state's initiative to develop a viable hydrogen economy. GM believes its big, bold, blue H2H illustrates the vision of a hydrogen-powered future like no other moving billboard could. Under its SUT-based body is a hydrogen-powered supercharged 6.0-liter V-8 engine that produces a peak of 180 horsepower with only water as a byproduct. It promises a range of 60 miles on 12 pounds of hydrogen stored in three carbon-fiber composite tanks.
