The king of automotive frugality does the unthinkable: it makes a pickup truck. It's the first for Honda but also a first for trucks, as this is the first time a pickup has been put together from car parts. Sharing a lot of its hardware with the Odyssey and Pilot (and therefore, Accord), the Ontario-built Ridgeline comes to market with a 255-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, unibody construction, and front-drive-based four-wheel-drive standard on all models. There are no engine choices, no transmission choices, no 4WD choices, no bed choices, and no cab choices – most unusual for a pickup. Ditching Honda's typical DX/LX/EX nomenclature, the Ridgeline comes as an RT, RTS, and RTL, the first of which starts at $28,215. That's pretty pricey for a Tacoma-sized pickup.
