A new, more powerful ML-class is arriving in 2005 to replace Mercedes' oldest model. Much roomier and more powerful than before, the new ML comes with either Mercedes' new 3.5-liter V6 or its familiar 5.0 V8 and the increasingly-popular 7-speed automatic transmission. All this rides onto a new, more carlike unibody platform and a much more advanced double-wishbone suspension. Mercedes is joining BMW in offering iPod hookups to the sound system.
