The entry-level (only $175,000) Ferrari punched out its mid-mounted V8 to 4.3 liters and 490 horses (up from the F360 Modena's 400), letting it blow smoke in the Lamborghini's Gallardo's face. Isn't competition great? A light 3,197-pound body makes this possible, as does a rear-mounted 6-speed transmission of either the manual or sequential F1 variety. The Challenge takes the poundage all the way down to 2,695 and only comes with the F1 transmission, giving it a mind-blowing power-to-weight ratio of 5.5.
