2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca rear.JPG
Subaru joins the mid-size SUV crossover field with the B9 Tribeca. Set to launch in May, this new seven-seater Subaru (there's also a five-passenger version) shares a platform with no other, though it does have Subaru's common symmetrical all-wheel-drive and horizontally-opposed, 250-horsepower six-cylinder engine from the Legacy and Outback lines and will be built alongside them in Lafayette, Indiana. The latest news is that the Tribeca will remain unique, as Saab won't be getting a copy of it after all.
