Just as the original 1992 Viper roadster was followed by a coupe in 1996, so too does the 2003 Viper get a solid roof for 2006. Still on the "500/500/500" plan (an understated shorthand for 505 cubic inches, 500 horsepower, 525 torque), the Viper coupe will sprint at least as fast as the convertible while the enclosed shell gives a stiffer body (and is roomy enough for serious racers to fit a roll cage inside). A restyled tail gives the coupe more high-speed downforce and it arrives wearing the Viper's traditional blue-with-white-stripes paint.
