2006 Honda Ridgeline rear
Stretching the very definition of "truck," the Ridgeline reflects Honda's usual approach of showing up with the most carlike model, the smallest engine, and the most innovations (like the in-bed trunk). Built on the Pilot/Odyssey's unibody frame and using an all-independent suspension, all-wheel-drive, and a 3.5-liter V6, the Ridgeline is quite a departure among mid-size pickups. It offers the plus of the most road-friendly demeanor, the minus of relatively low off-road and towing ability. Two more aspects stand out: a comfortable back seat and a steep price tag.
