2006 Hyundai Sonata rear

The first of Hyundai's three-pronged 2006 assault, the Sonata showed up last spring with Accord-knockoff styling, 4-cylinder and V6 engines, and the most cavernous interior in its crowded class. Power is way up over last year for both engines, while price is only up a little. The Sonata launched at the same time as Hyundai's brand new plant in Alabama, where all Sonatas are now built. Time will tell how this affects the Sonata's previously stellar track record for quality.
