On the more practical, affordable side of the Chrysler muscle car spectrum is Dodge's Magnum SRT-8, already offering an upsized Hemi V8 even as the initial Hemi is still busy impressing everyone. Growing from 5.7 to 6.1 liters, the SRT-8's 425 horsepower, 420 pounds-feet torque engine outdoes the new Corvette's in size and power. Springs, bushings, and antiroll bars get different tuning, ride height has been dropped, and the stability control system gets a demotion. Mid-$30s pricing can be expected when the SRT-8 arrives in fall.
