2006 Hyundai Tucson Front

Hyundai joined the RAV4 crowd with its Elantra-based Tuscon SUV, last redesigned for 2005. Featuring almost as much space inside as its own Santa Fe, the Tuscon starts with the Elantra's 4-cylinder and, like the Mazda Tribute and Ford Escape, offers a V6 (173 HP) as a step-up option. Hyundai's expected value advantage continues with prices starting at just over $18,000.
