2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution front

Mitsubishi has shifted focus to the only Lancers getting attention: the rally-ready Evolutions ("Evo" for short). There's the stripped-down RS, the normal Evo (now called IX), and the upscale MR Edition, complete with active center differential, 6-speed manual, and special black BBS wheels. Horsepower is up to a screaming 286, and an Active Center Differential comes on all. The other two Lancers, the quite fun Ralliart and the weakest-in-class 120-horsepower base models, celebrate their fifth birthday with a slight facelift.
