Mercedes' "Grand Sports Tourer" uses M-class running engines, transmissions, and 4-wheel-drive systems and is also built in the same plant. The big differences are found in packaging and size, where the R-class stretches over a foot longer than the M and even a few inches longer than the Chrysler Pacifica, which the R-class somewhat resembles. Three rows of captains chairs allow seating for six – six adults, that is.
