2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP rear

The Bonneville's passing leaves the Grand Prix to carry the torch. Pontiac's oldest car remains the same, but the trim lines have been simplified: the "GTP" is gone, leaving the base Grand Prix and its 200-horsepower 3.8-liter V6, the supercharged GT with 260, and the new-for-2005 GXP with the 303-horsepower 5.3-liter V8. All with a 4-speed automatic.
