Everyone likes a mid-engined Porsche, but not everyone needs a folding roof. So Porsche took the Boxster, put a lid on it, and gave it more punch: a 3.4-liter Flat 6 with 295 horsepower, standing above the Boxster's 2.7 (240) and 3.2-liter (280) sixes and below the 911's 3.6 (325) and 3.8-liter (355-381). A 6-speed manual and 5-speed Tiptronic automatic are the transmissions. The Cayman's $59,695 price stands $5,200 higher than that of the Boxster S.
