2006 Saab 9-3 Sportcombi front
GM's most expensive member of the family that includes Chevy's Malibu and Pontiac's G6, the 9-3 gets a new wagon variant called Sportcombi, which mirrors the lineup of the sedan and convertible: a base model with a 210-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo 4 and an Aero model with a 250-horsepower 2.8-liter turbo V6 – the latter being new to the 9-3. The "Linear" and "Arc" designations are gone. Saab celebrates 20 years of open-top motoring with 300 copies of the electric blue 9-3 "20 Years Edition" convertible, based on 9-3 Aero componentry and priced at 45 grand.
