2006 Saleen S7 Front
With the 987-horsepower Bugatti Veyron finally on its way, Saleen's claim of having the fastest car in the world will last a few short months. Upgraded from last year's paltry 500 horsepower, twin turbochargers have taken the 7.0-liter V8 to new heights of 750 horsepower (100 more than the Ferrari Enzo) and 700 pounds-feet of torque, which boot this 2,800-pound mid-engined car to 60 MPH in 3 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 10.7, eventually surpassing 200 MPH. Weight distribution is 40/60, redline is 5,500 RPM, suspension is all double wishbones, the transmission is a 6-speed stick, tires are P275/35ZR19 in front, P345/30ZR20 in back, and price is $555,000.
