2006 Subaru Impreza wagon rear

Subaru's PlayStation all-star just got its second makeover in six years, giving up last year's square face for a new front treatment. In the case of the Impreza WRX, that nose job comes with a heart transplant, as the turbocharged mid-level Impreza now uses the 2.5-liter DOHC H4 that powers other models, boosting horsepower to 230 and torque to 235. The base Impreza's SOHC engine gets a similar upgrade to 173 horses; the WRX STi continues with 300. Various versions of Subaru's all-wheel-drive fill the range.
