Even with the Crossfire, Hemi 300C, and Viper in its stable, Chrysler apparently still sees room for one more sports car at the Corvette level. Why complain? Plans are for us to get a Dodge Viper chassis mated to the 425-horsepower 6.1-liter Hemi from the 300C SRT-8 – not a bad example of parts-sharing at all – which would make it slightly faster than Chevrolet's icon. If it were to ever see the light of day, the target price would be $50,000.
