2005 Nissan Pathfinder front.jpg
Nissan's original SUV lives to see its third lifetime despite the similarly-sized Murano being a hit. It rides on a shrunken version of the Titan/Armada platform, which it will also share with the even-smaller Frontier and XTerra. Isn't it getting a little crowded in here? Design-wise, it trades its live axle suspension for an independent arrangement and trades its unibody design for a full frame, essentially taking one step forward and one step backward in terms of carlike design. Nissan couldn't help increasing power yet again, so that number now reads 270 thanks to an engine inflated to 4 liters. Seating capacity is up to seven thanks to a newly-added third row. The Pathfinder went on sale in October.
